This Halloween season was great. Though we missed our Hubs dearly, we kept busy with lot of fun activities. We went to Lombardi's pumpkin patch, decorated the porch with lots of spider webs, made some original jack-o-lanterns, visited family, had a school parade, took some professional photos and much more. I must thank my in-laws for sharing the holiday with us and joining along for the parade. Thank you.
Now, with that said...... PICTURE TIME!

Shhhh.......
I took Scott to Sear's Portrait Studio today for him to make his Daddy Zach Christmas present. The photos came out so cute and I actually joined in!!! I only bought a few photos and I don't receive them for a couple of weeks. However, here is a sneak peak of the proofs... watermark and all. haha
(The photos are available for purchase if anyone is interested. Just let me know what photo you like and what sizes you want. They also offer gifts from aprons to water bottles to stickers to mouse pads.... and much more)

The PHANTOM of the OPERA is here.....
stuck in my head......
I haven't been able to get the music out of my head since last night. My wonderful MIL took me to go see The Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theater and I had a blast! I feel in love with theme music in elementary school and it has been a favorite of mine ever since. I (think) there was a young actor's group that came to my school and that is where I had my first experience with the show. I own the dvd and am a huge fan of Gerard Butler as the phantom. Until last night, I had never seen the show live by professionals. I got all dolled up from head to toe. I even wore my first ever pair of heels (ok they were kitten heels, you have to start somewhere haha).
Thank you Kathy for the wonderful night!

Hubs - September Visit
Zach got to visit us again for the week before he ships out for OSUT (military training). We had so much fun going to the museum, having a fun family dinner, seeing a movie, having a "guy's night" and kicking me out of the house.... and really just getting in some good quality family time. We can't wait until Christmas break so he can come home again!

Where has the time gone!?
Scott started 5th grade today. I took my usual "first day of school" photo which lead me to look through photos of years past.

Did you swallow a bowling ball???
So, the fence separating my sister's dog and mine was accidentally left open this morning. Harley got into Kotten's food (he's a full size dog so he eats much more then my Chihuahua). It took all day before her belly bloated up. All of a sudden, after dinner, she was swollen. It looked like she swallowed a bowling ball! Her little stomach was rock hard. I didn't know what was wrong and I took her to see a vet. They took an x-ray and there was the culprit.... a stomach twice as full as it should be. You can even see the white speckles of the minerals in the food she ate. She was filled to the brim. Literally, filled EVERYWHERE from start to "finish". :0/ She will stay over night without food and water. They will give her fluids and x-rays to see how she is doing through the process of "elimination". 0_o The cost involved is unthinkable. This is just one of those things where you need to remember to THINK about what you are doing..... when you touch something, move something, borrow something... put it back how you found it! I am now in more debt because of my doog's full belly from one person's bad judgement. (She is also on Prednisone... a steroid that makes her insatiable)
The teal rectangle indicates the approx size that her belly SHOULD be....
