Idn't he just the sweetest!

I always make comments to Scott about how perfect of a son he is. Today, not unlike most days, he had the sweetest response.

Me: Scott you are the most perfect kid ever!

Scott: (very matter-of-factly) I was made by a perfect mom.

AWWWWWWWWWWWW *tears*
Idn't that just the sweetest thing you ever did hear?

Romantic Master Bedroom or Bachelor Pad? You decide...

So, our room was never very organized. Old homes don't have much closet space and we cannot use our garage here, so we are left leaving big items in the corners. Mismatched furniture is thrown anywhere it fits. But, I tried. I asked for a BEAUTIFUL green leaf designed bed set for our reception and we recieved it (thanks Kathy). It only lasted a short while. The blanket was heavy and a room with no insulation (you can see through parts of the wood panels to the outside... so serious!) that is upstairs... well needless to say, it gets HOT! One day, I decided to be a creative wife and copy something a friend had done to her room. I nailed into the wall to make spots for my wonderful husband's hats to display. Hey, I can share the bedroom right? Well, a few months or so later, I hear a pounding from upstairs (mind you i'm on the other side of the house). A few weeks and adjustments later, this is our brand new master bedroom....

Total Gym layed out (cause its annoying to fold up and put away). Corner filled with camping gear. Beanies on the wall. Backpack hanging from the wall. And my lonely little framed scrap page art on the wall.

Yea yea yea, I started the nails in the wall so I blame myself. But, we also have stacks and stacks of dirtbike magazines. Helmet and dirtbike bag. Tool box (that he MADE me take up a steep flight of stairs cause he is out of his mind!) Best of all... posters on the walls just like his lil boy... which had to be nailed in since tape doesnt stick to those walls.

I just recently got a small section of this closet for my clothes. My lil fashionista just had to hog it all for himself. haha

And of course the best part of the room... more posters and a plain white down comforter. The quilt was a gift for Hubbin made out of his old "band t's". (Cause I am so thoughful and that anniversary was Cotton... see? I'm cool right?) Thank you Momma for putting it together for me.

I cleaned I cleaned... arent you proud!?

Some pix of our lovely, large, mismatched, cluttered, beautiful home. :0)
(Note: No, house does not consist of only two rooms. However, only two rooms happen to be clean at time of post. haha)

Beautiful non-working fireplace. Ohana means family... never left behind as Stitch would say. My mom grew up in Hawaii so I love little Hawaiian sayings. (Talent Alert! I can say "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in Hawaiian. I'm Special!) Stereo, fan, fireplace, lamp, printer, desk... such an organized living space if I do say so myself.

Our wonderful new ELECTRIC (pause for oohs and ahhs) chair thanks to my Dad... and Stereo from our reception thanks to my dad... and little lamp in the corner there thanks to dad. Am I spoiled? No? Didnt think so... lets move on. (oh don't forget the upgraded tv from dad!)

View from behind the couch. Stained glass door. Beautifully painstakingly (I assume, I wasnt there) white washed AND sand blasted wood walls. Cute cottage type white built in's (so hard to keep organized). Don't forget our wonderful Ikea sofa that pokes you in the butt cause they are cheap... CHEAP I TELL YOU!!!! (Fist shaking appropriatly actioned while writing post)

And magically (cause we are the Magical Madrigals after all) we aparate to the other side of the couch. Talented aren't we? Let's see... yet again, we have all the items needed to make a simplistic living space. Hard to find vertical window air unit? Check. Tall round table and chair sqweeeeeeezed between couch and built in's? Check. Over crowded Ikea shelving unit? (that I put together of course with my bare hands... and maybe a screwdriver) Check. Mismatched plaid accessories placed with a leaf print rug? Check and Double Check! Two lovely Christmas artworks up for the past two Christmas's? (Warning: Don't strain your eyes... just have faith that I know they are there) Check.

Scott's TV Area... and yes this IS clean !
Scottie's Rock N' Roll Drum Area with beautifuly painted coat rack thanks to... yup ME!

Scott's Study Area... also known as his catch all space for his lil fast food toys to collect on... and notice the lovely shelves custom made by... yup... you guessed again.. ME!
Where Scottie lays his purdy lil head. Posters provided by crazy overboard Daddy Zach who spent hours upon hours putting every poster in just the right spot. :0)
